Guti reveals his top three picks for 2026 Ballon d’Or

Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti has revealed his top three picks for the 2026 Ballon d’Or award, naming Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Rodri among his favourites.

Guti made his selection while discussing the contenders for the prestigious individual award, with the England captain, France international and Spain midfielder all included on the 30-man shortlist.

“It’s going to be between Harry Kane, Mbappe and Rodri,” Guti said, as quoted by El Partidazo de COPE.

The former Real Madrid star also admitted that he would like Mbappe to win the award because of the French forward’s connection to the Spanish club.

“I want Mbappe to win the Ballon d’Or because he plays for Real Madrid,” he added.

The winner of the 2026 Ballon d’Or is expected to be announced next month at the London Palladium Theatre in London.

Kane, Mbappe and Rodri are among the 30 players shortlisted for this year’s award.
